Can anyone please advise me,as I am a complete novice to AV !
I've just purchased a second hand Pioneer AX10i surround amp.
Is it recommended to leave the amp on 24hrs or switch it on/off as required ?
I used to own valve amps, which used to be left on all the time,to minimise stress to the components.Would the same apply to my Pioneer ?
    I'd appreciate any help !

I don't own the Pioneer but I'm sure these aren't as fragile as valve amps. When demo'ing the Pioneer AX5Ai last year it wasn't warmed up at all before demo.

I normally switch on my amp (Yamaha 750SE) about 10 mins before I start using it, there's no reason for it - just habit I guess!

Some say that it sounds better once warmed up although I don't really notice a difference. I certainly don't think there's any reason to keep it on 24 hours, think of the electricity bill!
