Pioneer AV receivers with class D amps power usage

Standard Member

I'm planning to put a Pioneer receiver (one of the recent ones with a class D amp) in a situation where it will basically be used for its preouts. I won't be using the speaker connections. At least, not yet.

Does anyone know how much power the amps will be using while disconnected? I ask because I had an old Yamaha doing the same job once and could tell from its high heat output that a lot was still going on.

Thanks in advance
