I'm not 100% positive on this - can't find info on any 912 amp ... but based on Pioneer's past model numbers, the "S" version is silver and the "K" is black.

QED are probably importing it from the continent. Anyway ... comments re K + S designation still stand.

Bad idea. If it's not an official UK product, Pioneer will not honour the warranty - and QED will probably fob you off as well 0 espicially if it goes wrong in 11 months time.

    Avoid like SARS mate.

Went for the Yamaha 630 - I've "grown up" with Yamma amps and thought I would carry on the tradition....

What is the out put in RMS for 6.1. Below shows DIN value and RMS for stereo only.

Avland shows the following for output for Pioneer 912:

Power Output RMS (2 channel mode)
    2x80W (20Hz - 20kHz, 0.09% and 6?)

    *************

    Pioneer site says following:

    Power Output
    VSX-D912-S
    RMS Power (1kHz, 10%THD, 8 Ohm/ch)
    120 W

    Stereo (DIN)
    2 x 100 W (8 Ohm, 1% THD, 1 kHz)

    Surround Front
    2 x 100 W (8 Ohm, 1% THD, 1kHz)

    Surround Centre
    100 W (8 Ohm, 1% THD, 1kHz)

    Rear (Surround)
    2 x 100 W (8 Ohm, 1% THD, 1kHz)

    Surround Back
    100 W (8 Ohm, 1 % THD, 1kHz)
