Pioneer 908 upgrade to 7.1 ?

    Anyone know if there is an additional "box of tricks" I could use with the 908 receiver(DD and DTS 5.1) to get the extra surround channels (6.1/7.1) ? - worth it ?

    all input appreciated as always

    I'm sure I saw what you ar looking for at Leconcepts.com, an A509 or similar. About £250 as I recall. Check the details first as it may only be suitable for particular models.

    In issue 62, November 2000, of HCC page 80, there is a "Smart CS3XJr" it appears to give you the extra 1 or 2 channels that you want. Cost quoted at £400.
