Pioneer 868 NTSC and PAL Black Level Calibration

Hi,

I'm trying to get my head around black level now that my 868 has finally been introduced to a screen supporting HDMI (Panny 37PV500).

Am I right in thinking that I should calibrate my screen using a PAL DVE type disc, and then tweak the display settings of the 868 to output NTSC differently?

I recall some discussion about the 868 having this level of flexibility.

If so, I could do with a layman intro to it all :)

Thanks!

Brilliant - thank you :)

Out of interest - have any 868 owners made this tweak? Does it make a noticable difference?
