I am thinking of attaching some speakers to my pioneer 812 that are quoted at 6ohms.

Am i heading for trouble? The instruction booklet tells me to stick to 8ohms to 16 ohms.

Why do speaker manufactures go for 6ohms...surely this limits their available martket doesn't it?

i was in my local hispek yesterday looking at some lcd's. wandered into the sound room just to to be nosey and saw some nice looking silver slender speakers up front. (thinking of getting rid of my boxes!)

Walked a bit closer and noticed they were yamaha. had a sound test and quite liked them..need to go back for another test.

    anyway these are them..
