    Hi,

I'm new to the forums so I'm not too sure how this works.

I'm hoping some one may be able to help with my problem.

I just bought the Pioneer 757ai and I can't get it output PAL progressive scan properly. Everytime I use a region 2 disc, a strange interference comes up on the right hand side of the screen and the picture is off set to the right as well. It works fine with region 1 discs.

The player is definately PAL progressive, it says so on the box and it's only 5 months old. My tv, the panasonic 36PD30, is also a PAL progressive set so I don't know what it could be.

Would any one have any thoughts on this? Both Pioneer and Panasonic can't figure out what the problem could be and I'm getting quite desperate now!!

    :lease:

Very odd. What video connection are you using - I'm assuming Component?

Have you ever used any other PAL Progressive devices on your screen?

This is the first time I'm using PAL progressive with my screen and I am using a component connection.

I've now verified that both the tv and dvd player are pal progressive.

p.s, Not too sure what the link to that website is all about??

Try connecting your DVD player to another display or TV. Do you know someone with another progressive scan display or TV. Alterntively take it back to the dealer you bought it from and ask them to check out on another TV or display.

I think I now know what the problem is, something to do with the screen settings that alot of people had problems with.
I'll try it tonight, hopefully, it should be all cool now.
