is there one for the above , how do I do it ??
no there isn't
it's OK I have found that it is multi region anyway
I have found a 757ai for £350 , it is progressive scan pal and NTSC and about six months old , do you think it is a reasonable buy
Sound and Vision are doing them brand new for £399 which includes delivery.
Wouldn't pay more than £280 2nd hand for a 757 tbh...
That's where i got mine from about 6months ago but paid £450 and i still think it was worth it for that price great player
was yours PAL progressive John, and multi region?
Hi matt yes it was
Thanks Just ordered one
They were pretty quick aswell had it in about 2 days after ordering it
Just got mine yesterday from Sound and Vision played a few discs on it last night and I must say i'm very impressed with the pal and ntsc progressive scan PQ.
Tried an RCE title a region 3 disc and it played them no problem.
Toonarmy did you also Buy from Sound & Vision?
Sorry mate did not read your post properly
Yes I did get it from S and V I was a bit worried at first as on their website it states regions 1 and 2 only and doesn't say if it will play RCE discs and doesn't say anything about PAL progressive scan.
Was happy when I opened it to see a large sticker on the front of the player saying PAL progressive scan.
Tried a couple of RCE discs and a region 3 disc and no problems so far.
Yeah it does not give the full specs on there website but i did take the liberty of ringing them to confirm this info before purchaseing and have to say they were very good with there service.
Well I'm gutted, just took delivery of mine from Sound and Vision, and mine isn't multi-region Anyone know if there's a way round this?
without a remote i don't know,but i did find this website:
hope this helps
Sorry to hear about yours not being multi-region.
Did yours have a sticker on the box saying multiregion as mine did.
Have you spoken to S and V yet and what are they going to do about it.
Hope everything works out OK.
The player didn't have a multi-region sticker on it, even though I specifically said on my order comment box that I only wanted the player if it was multi region and PAL progressive I'll phone S+V tomorrow
You must contact Sound and Vision, I am sure they will sort this out. I have bought lots of kit from them, fortunately they are a local dealer.
Tonight, has been one of the few nights I have been able to check this player out with my PW6, it's the dog's bits', fantastic lustre to the Fifth Element.
On my next day off I am going to have a film fest.
How does this dvd player compare to say the 668 and the Denon 2910? I'm looking for a new player but am stuck for what to buy at the moment. I can get a 2910 for very similar money to the 757 at S&V. Can it do any scaling i.e output 720p etc?
