pioneer 757ai mod

    does any one know if a pioneer 757ai player a early one can be modded to pal progressive

    It already has progressive out via component?, see manual page 58, but DO read the notes..... i.e. the receiving peice of kit must be able to accept progressive.

    Actualy the older models of the 757ai like mine only do NTSC progresive scan. Pioneer correct this on this model later on during production.:)

    thats right mines the earlier model can it be modded for pal progressive?

    Yes it can, Pioneer will put you onto a distributor who will do the upgarde for about £90 if I recall.

    Personally I didn't bother as I have a plasma and that is a progressive panel anyway. The guys at Pioneer will also tell you the difference is not that great and you may not find it worthwhile or money well spent.
