hi, i have the pioneer dv-s737 dvd player

the problem is that the progressive scan indicator on the front panel refuses to light up

i have the sony vpl-vw11ht projector

the indicator used to light earlier and all was ok....
................. but recently i switched from a prologic to a digital amplifier and had to ofcourse change the audio settings of the dvd player to "digital on"....thats when the progressive scan indicator went off although i've not fiddled with the video settings at all

also, the progressive scan indicator is ON when u switch on the player but goes off the second u actually PLAY a dvd

    HELP!!!!!!!!

Don't know if this is it but......

    1) The progressive scan feature is disabled for any PAL (eg Region 2) disc therefore it won't light up with a PAL disc in the player.

    2) It won't light up at all, if you have the switch on the back of the player set to PAL. You need it set to "Auto".

PS (progressive scan) on DVD is currently available for NTSC discs only, no PAL progressive - sorry.
