    Hi all,

I've had my pioneer Dv 717 for around a year now and am perfectly happy with it,it's given me no problems, but I recently bought a new 32" nicam 100hz widescreen and everytime I watch a DVD I have to increase the volume by quite a bit, then when I turn over to SKY or BBC, ITV, the sound really hits you,is this common,I was thinking of buying a Amplifier or even surround sound is this needed, or are there some settings I've missed, the only drawback is when the volume is so high I get that hissing sound,I'm conected by a QED scart(£50)on RGB

    Cheers..
