I'm getting this problem while watching Divx files where the player stops playing and goes back to the menu. I need to replay the file and then forward back to where it stopped. The player usually stops again but this time at another place..

Anyone seen this problem or know how I can fix it?

Update the firmware on your 575 to the latest version (search this forum I've posted the info loads of times). I would suggest its a bad encoding, its happened to me once on a less than perfect encoding. You could re-encode it...

I am using the latest FW.
Also the files play on other players using the SIGMA CHIPSET.

Maybe the Sigma is just better at error handling....or you have a duff unit.

NX3 - yes, maybe, maybe, maybe, hence the reason I am asking to determine whether or not this is a known issue / common problem with other users.

I don't have this problem with divx / xvid on the Pioneer. I've not seen any other postings on here of that problem either. Hence I suggest to update firmware as some early versions caused various problems (see previous postings on here). Or you do a conclusive test by re-encoding the movie and checking if its a encoding issue* or a unit issue.

*I'm assuming its something you download and thus could easily have a few corrupt bytes which when played on a PC it ignores and on Sigma based players.

How big is the DivX file? I think there could be potential problems when
they are bigger than 1 GB but that is only a guess.
