Picked my 575 up on Monday

Can anyone help with a SACD connection issue?

I want to hook up my DVD player to my Yamaha Amp to play SACD's

I have 3 sets of phono cables (red/white basic ones)

I'm about to set them up like:

    Set 1: DVD Fronts (Red/White) - Amp Fronts (Red/White)
    Set 2: DVD Surrounds (Red/White) - Amp Surrounds (Red/White)
Set 3: DVD Sub (Red) DVD Centre (White) - Amp Sub (Red) Amp Centre (White)

    Is this correct

yes if your yam amp has analog inputs.. (otherwise you are connecting to the pre-outs of the amp).

Don't forget to turn the sub on in the 575's speaker settings - it defaults to off...PJ

Ok, thanks guys, got it

No sound at first and i was like....wtf

Then I realised that there was this button on my Amp called Ext Decoder (never used it before) pressed that any hey presto. WOTW coming out of all speakers :)

Tried a bit of Dire Straights as well.

Felt a bit wierd with vocals from the back and music from the front when normally it's the other way around!

it can take a while sometimes to get used to multi channel music, especially with albums you listen to a lot in the past in stereo...lol

a very well done album is REM's Automatic for the People......very well done that....highly recommend it...

not SACD tho (far as i know...lol), its DVD-Audio disc, but same meat different gravy essentially...lol
