Just been looking at the Pioneer UK website and only the 868, 757 and 668 are shown on there. are the lower models being replaced?

(and if so, does anyone know where I can get a cheap 575 MR in black? You can get silver ones for less than £100, but not black)

I believe the DV-575 can play DVD+R DL alltough not specified anywhere.
Specwise, these are the only diffs I can find: (sorry for the bad formatting)
    DV-575 DV-585
    Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.0020% 0.0023%
    Power Consumption: 12W (0.18w Standby) 8W (0.18w Standby)
    Height: 55mm 49.5mm
    Depth: 243mm 214.9mm
    Weight: 2.1kg 1.8kg

smaller, lighter and less power consumption but sligthly higher thd.

By the time they get to the 595 it will be the size and weight of a DVD case!

Hopefully the 585 will support packed bitsteam divx as well unlike the 575.

Leerock, got any info on upcoming DVD-Recorders from Pioneer? One with a freeview tuner would be good :)

The 668AV-S can be found at redcoon for the equivalent of £390. Does not ship to UK, though.

Also HDMI, by itself, means little. The 668 only outputs only 720 x 480HP (NTSC) and 720 xi 576P (PAL). This is not high definition TV. To get the Complete HDMI (High Definition.....) you need the 868.
