I am intrested in puchasing this DVD player and want to really want to know it's compatability with DVD-R disks and it's quality.

I am going to get it from Richer Sounds for £99. If i am not happy with it for whatever reason, does anyone know whether i can get a refund on it or what are my rights?

    TIA!

It's a great player, and it's played every disc i've thrown at it so far. RS should give a refund if you're not happy or allow exchange for another player.

I bought one last weekend from richer sounds and was told that I had a 14 day money back guarantee if I was unhappy with it for ANY reason. Infact, I am totally opposite, its a fantastic player, picture, sound and compatibility (dvd+rw). If you are going to use the progressive scan thought then make sure you use proper 75 ohm component leads. :smashin:

Phil, I will let my friend know, but I expect that with postage it will probably end up the same as new from richer sounds.
    Cheers,

They had it in stock at richersounds norwich but the staff were trying to convince me that the LG player at £80 had far better picture & sound quality... :rotfl: im looking to upgrade my basic dv444 which i got about 3-4 years ago @ £200  its a nice basic player but how technology surges foward hey? So does it take sumfin alot more expensive to beat the all round performance of the dv575? Would it make a good match with my yammy rxv 650 rds? I want decent picture and cinema sound and may take a plunge into dvd-A and SACD.

hi richersounds only seen to try and sell the stuff they have lots of the lg player would not beat the pioneer on picture or sound performance the pioneer has an excellent picture and lots of picture adjustments incl picture sharpness that you can use even when the player is in progressive mode most players on the market disable the sharpness in progess mode the sound from it fed into my yamaha rxv-440 is pucka fed with coaxial cable. The one thing i noticed more than anything is that the player handles fast moving pictures with ease and no picture noise so if you are planning on buying a universal dvd player for the money the pioneer is the best i upgraded to a sony 930 because i have it plugged into a projector and find the image even better and when plugged into a tv it excells in every respect the detail is much better but dont let that put you off the pioneer.

I replaced my dv444 with a 565 ,i wish i had not botherd the 444 was a much better player ,ok the 565 does more but its not as good .I was thinking of picking up another 444 and getting rid of the 565.The main reson for the change was to play jpg's but its that slow i just play them as vcd's instead which is what i did on the 444 anyway.Technology may be surging forwards the 575 may be better than the 565 but the quality is going backwards.
