i downloaded a movie which was in the xvid format, i dont know the difference between xvid and divx. Anyway the pic was good for what fitted onto 1 cdr. It was for kids anyway so quality not an issue.

So i burned the file onto a cd using nero and burn iso cd. I found the playback a little bit jerky. I read posr with similar problems so i got mpeg4modifier and removed the packed bitstream, done another copy and it was still the same, the file plays fine on my pc.

Any suggestions what the problem is, i copied some mpeg clips and another 700mb xvid file and they played great. The xvid file this time did not have packed bitstream.

cheers

You've removed packed bitsteam and its still jerky. Is it NTSC file, 29 fps and you've got your play set to PAL ? Try setting the Pio to AUTO or NTSC and see if its ok.

is it possible to switch between ntsc and pal on the 575

i searched through the menu last night and i cant see that option

cheers
