I recently bought a Pioneer 565a in the classifieds forum and I just got a chance to look at it today.

However I can't get a picture at all.

The front panel indicates it's outputting a prog scan signal but I don't have a prog scan TV in the house.

How can I turn OFF prog scan when I can't see the menus?

    Thanks for any help/advice,

    Mark.

put the player into stanby, then hold down the left picture seasrch key on the front panel, while tuning the play on from standby.
This should put it back into interlaced mode
