    Hello

I have just bought a pioneer 565 (multi-region) DVD player to replace my Sony DVP725.

When connected to my Panasonic TX 32PD30 telly using component connections (interlaced) and setting the tv to 75/833 (high res mode), there is a slight shimmering effect on the picture. This is especially noticeable when the menus or any text is on the screen.

The problem disappears when switching the tv back to 100hz or progressive scan mode.

I never had this problem with my old Sony DVD player.

Has anyone else had this problem with this combination of tv/dvd player and come up with a solution?

    Thanks

    Mark
