Just into my first weeks usage of this player, and not having much joy in getting Yes's Fragile DVD Audio working correctly.

I have my 5.1 cables connecting my DVD player to my Denon amp, and the amp is set to use these as inputs. SACD disk of Dark Side Of The Moon works fine to all channels, once I had set the default to the multi channel track.

However DVD audio just gives a strange echo of the fronts in the rears at a much reduced volume.

To reiterate, SACD works perfectly, so I am presuming cables and amp setup is OK.

Anyone else had similar problem or can give any advice ?

Oh yes, the setting where you can choose to play a DVD Audio as video is set to audio, the default setting.

    Thanks,

Not sure if it's the same as a 757, but if you go into the initial settings menu; under 'speakers' this needs to be set to 5.1 not 2ch.
Mine is always set to 2ch (for headphones) so I have to remember to switch back to '5.1' if I want to play a dvd-a.
These settings don't affect the digital output to your av-amp btw.
