Pioneer 506 retention? New User.....

Hi,
First time here, and prompted by an issue with my 50" plasma.

1) How do you get to the engineers page to see the clocked up hours?
2) Is the debate running and running regarding retention/burn in. I've noticed some retention last night from Sky Sports News which I trust will fade given time. If not its going back. Had some previously with Nick Jr but that seems to have gone. Sets only 2 monhts old.

Settings are way down contrast 18, brightness -2........So all the precautions have been taken.

Finally, has anyone on here bought a HD DVD, if so what's the verdict?
