I have a 505xde pioneer plasma. I am looking to buy a DVD recorder. My criterea is as follows:

    - Price around £200
    - In order to get the most out of the XDE, do i need to buy one with HDMI output.....do i need a scaler ??
    - Multi region

Can anyone please help me???? Which one should i go for.

    Thanks in advance.

i am soon getting a pio 436, i will be getting a pio dvd recorder with a hard drive to go with it. dont really see hdmi as a necessity for a recorder as you will only be recording off the tv, so it wont make any difference to be honest.

there is a good list of pio dvd recorders here...
