now have the Pioneer PDP503MXE(S) on sale at £4999!

I'd like to add that I have no connection with S&V, I am simply a very, very satisfied customer of ten years dealing with them.

I also went for the deal. S&V sent 2 charcoal units instead of silver, and it took an entire month to get the correct colour!. Generally ok, but took several threatening calls and letters for them to finally send what I had ordered!.

S&V mucked me around on my first and last purchase from them - a Canon digital camera. They supplied it without a charger and it took several weeks and numerous phone calls to sort it out. Ultimately had to call my credit card company to exert some pressure to get it sorted. S&V came through in the end but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

This will probably go down as the newbie post to end all newbie posts, but: can anyone explain how I actually get to a 'shop' on the S&V site? Something like pages of TVs, plasmas or AV accessories - or even just some price lists? All it seems to have is a home page with a bunch of offers down the side, 11 pages of special offers, stock clearance and Bose pages and some info pages of variable usefulness.

Am I really being thick, or is that it?

Hmmm...they don't seem to have an actual online shop as such.

Here is a link to the Plasma in question

    http://www.soundandvision.uk.com/deals11.html

to order it you have to click on the picture bit of the advert and then fill in your detials.

    Hope that helps, Lee

Thanks Lee - just wanted to check I wasn't being a complete doofus.

I'll probably be ordering the Pioneer PDP433HDE from them in a couple of days, so hopefully I'll be able to report back that they're a pleasure to do business with (unless anyone knows of somewhere I could get a better deal than their £3999 offer!).

    Hi nobby,

Is there a particular reason why you're going for the HDE model? The MXE model is usually £500+ cheaper, upgradeable (with a replacement video card), PAL progressive scan compatable, and is regarded as having a better picture than the HDE.

I knew that joining these forums would be useful as I headed towards upgrading the Av setup and getting a plasma..! Looks like I need to do some more research and get more opinions... I'd better start a thread in a more appropriate location though.
