I've just recieved a brand new Pioneer 464 from Amazon, after seeing the general consensus was that this is a very good player.

Indeed I'm very happy with it except for the fact that it's really very noisy during the playback of films. No good at all for scenes of dialog
I would like to know if anyone who owns one of these machines has the same problem or whether I just have a faulty unit before I contact amazon about a return

Your input is most appreciated :)

    Thanks

Assuming you mean the dvd loader and not some form of psu buzz noise or whatever I would say its very common for dvd loader noise to vary between examples of the same model. However we need more pioneer owners to respond to see if this is the case or there is a general noise problem with all these players.
