Took delivery of the Pioneer 436XDE today. Am very happy with it so far. :D

Some questions/clarifications (covers various areas, but I think this is the best forum to put it in):
    1) There's been various discussions on this forum about adjusting the settings, but there have been a few different setting mentioned. I've adjusted the settings to the following. Are these okay for the run-in?
    - contrast = 18
    - Brighthness = -5
    - Colour = -10
    - Powersave = Save2.

    2) How do I get my Sky+ Controller to 'talk' to the screen? I've gone through the Sky book and the code to get the two to talk is apparentally 0166, but this isn't working. Any ideas?

    3) I bought the setup from Dixons using the various codes mentioned in threads in this forum (cheers to everyone for those... ). The speakers that come with them to me are very good (certainly in comparison to my old setup!). The next thing for me is to upgrade the sound in the system and I was looking at Monitor Audio 225 for the fronts and centre. I haven't had a demo, but are the Monitor Audio's much better than the supplied Pio speakers, as like I say I am happy with the supplied speakers at the moment. Would I notice a big difference between the Monitor Audio and Pio speakers if running these through an amp such as the Yamaha DSP-AX757SE?

    Cheers,

    G

You will notice a big differenca between the Monitors and the standard pioneers !! Plus combining an amp into the system will blow away the sound your getting from the pioneer speakers !! Go for it :D

Strange - that code doesn't work either. Any reason why that may be?

I would second that about the Monitor Audio Speakers. I have the 225's and they give a great sound
