I am just about to buy a Pioneer 436 dxe but need the version with speakers along the bottom to limit the width.
Any one know what the sound is like from these speakers??

dont know, but i will be getting the same version, i am guessing they will sound pretty much the same as the side speakers, i am getting the under speakers as it will look far batter than the side ones when on a pedistal.

I've got the side speakers on my 435XDE, they sound ok but nothing like 'proper' AV kit. I installed mine to make it 'mother in law' friendly :) The side ones are very tasteful, they have a silky black covering on them, a bit like tights :rotfl:

i got the under speakers for my 435xde. Must admit I was sceptical when I saw them, quite slim and light. However, I am really happy with the sound, I know they aren't as good as proper av but for normal day to day they are very good.

There is an input for a sub if you need more bass
