    Hello

Having spent many a late night looking around these forums, I finally took the plunge and got a bargain of a 435xde and DVD 420 for £3200.

However, waiting to take delivery next Tuesday, I'm starting to panic!

Can anyone with one of these (or knowledge of them) try to calm me regarding the picture quality of Sky

Am I going to have a 3k disappointment on my hands?

We are limited for TV unit space in our setup and need something fairly compact - the addition of scalers and even an amp with digital delay are out of the question - no room

Anyway - am I getting a good plasma for the price?

How does footy look on it?

Reviews of this are few and far between but everywhere I've been able to see this set in action the picture seems excellent to me!

I actually bought a Hitachi 4200 and took it back - I wasn't happy with it and lip synch was a real problem with it.

Is lip synch a problem with this one? - Bear in mind an amp is out of the question.

I would welcome your comments on all the points above as I havent got long if I change my mind!

    Thanks

    Gary

    Calm down.
You will be happy with the Pioneer as I am for a week now.

At the Sevenoaks Audio shop in Ealing they the 43 and 50 on display, The 50 is hooked up to Sky and I was able to see how good the footy is. So much so I am now saving for the 50 inch. I am sure you'll be just as pleased with Sky on the 43.

Thanks for all your comments - keep them coming!

I'll post a full 'user review' of the TV in the middle of next week with some photos too.

This set is supposed to be one of the best but info on it is very patchy from the people who matter - the people who bought one.

I'll let you know what I found next week

    Kind regards

    Gary

I have had the 435XDE for a few weeks now and am delighted.
Previously I had a 56 inch Toshiba that dominated my window space.
The Pioneer is wall hung and has given my sitting room a new lease of life and the picture quality is excellent.
Expensive yes, but it is quality in style and viewing pleasure.
Just my opinion, but I love it. :smashin:
