I know I have read the answer in a forum but used the search and can not find it. That's why I am asking this question (again?)

I've been playing around with the PIP on my 435 HDE. But as a result in normal mode, when I push the P+ button, I will go from channel 1 immediately to 4 !!!! and then to 5,6,7 etc... so it skips 2 and 3.

2 and 3 are still part of the favorites and I can pick them by pushing that channel. But zapping is no longer possible.

Anyone had the same experience and came up with a solution ?

1,4,5,6,7,9,12,13,18,19 etc ... no real logic behind it. How can I get this fixed ???

I have had (or should I say ' am having') the same problem.
It's a bug all right.

Somehow the settings get lost when switching the screen off and on.
The STORE property still reads YES but the channel is skipped nonetheless.

You can restore the setting in two ways.
    - Move the channel to a different channel number using the SORT option
next leave the menus and then SORT everything back again.
    - Or go to manual adjust and set STORE to NO. Move to the next channel then back and set it to YES again.

Hifi addict what are you going to do? I think Pioneer should solve this problem but I hate to offer my brand new TV for repair.

Thanks for the tip jag. I'll try it after this posting !
And I truely hope that pioneer can fix this with a simple software update. It's a real shame pioneer people do not watch these forums like Arcam people do. It would improve pioneers service A LOT if they did.
So, i'll see if I can find something on their website or go through the dealer...

    Marcel (NL as well)

BTW: can you reproduce this bug ?

I've exact the same problem with my 435HDE. It skips the channels in the same way (1,4,5,6,7,9,12,13,18,19 etc )
It's really a shame that a bug like this happens on such an expensive plasma.

i will. My tuner also has a slight lip-sync issue so it could well be a 'monday-morning' tuner.... The video is behind the audio :(

My dealer stated that this was due to the B/G settings of PAL which are used in NL. The tuner then looses some frequencies.

If I could reproduce it, the tuner would be replaced by Pioneer.

He also told that Pioneer does not have a battery inside the tuner to keep the date/time. So if you don't use standby but simply turn off the tuner, every time you turn it on, it will ask for the date/time.....

That's crazy IMO - All this talk about power saving and switching your kit off on a night and a simple lithium battery is ommited!

At least that explains the problem I've been getting - Thanks Hifi addict.

I'll still be switching mine off by the two power buttons though...

it's in the menu where you select (per channel) if it's in PAL/NTSC etc. There you can also select B/G as that is the PAL-type that is used in NL. I can't find anything in the manual on what the differences are though......
