Hi there!
the set-up:
My dvd player is connected via DVI -> HDMI (Wireworld UV5) and the NTL box (landlord wouldn't allow Sky+ yet) via normal scart (RGB).
Now (this is the best I can describe it), whenever watching something with a greater aspect ratio than 16:9 => thereby with black bars top & bottom there are thin "lines" ~4mm into the actual picture. Within this 4mm area the contrast seems to be slightly higher and a straight line in the normal area seems to continue at a slight angle in there.
It happens always and no matter whether the player or the ntl box is the source. The trouble is I only noticed this about a week ago and I can't say if it was there before or not
(Though, given my obsession to detail, I'd think it wasn't.)
Does anyone have any idea what this is about (cause - remedy)?
Or is this normal in the end?
Any advise or comment is much appreciated.
