Possibly a stupid noob question but........
Does the 434 only take component through Scart? This is the impression I get from the specs. If so, what lead should I use from component switchbox to plasma?

No, it takes the regular 3xRCA cables. Basically, Input 3 can accept various connections, one of which is SCART, one of which is 3xRCA component, and I believe HDMI is also on Input 3. You connect whatever you want and then set up the screen to take the input from the appropriate connector.

As I was once told, "there is no such things as a stupid question, only stupid answers!", so to answer your reasonable ;) question, with hopefully not a stupid answer.

There is one set of component inputs using RCA connectors (I think that's what they are called!) and not scart.

    Cheers

    Kevin.

Ahh, I thought it would. I just looked at the techtronics diagram table thingy and got confused.

    Cheers
