Hi guys, I've been doing the due diligence on the Pio 433MXE, and have been very impressed whenever I've seen it. However I am a bit concerned about the oblong pixels (4:3 resolution) when used with a HTPC. In my searching I think I've discovered a higher res version of the same display with a 15:9 resolution. There seem to be two references to 1280x768: Pioneer PDP-433MXE 1024x768 Pioneer PDP-433CMX 1280x768 Pioneer PDP-433MXEV 1280x768 The CMX seems to be the US version of the MXE, and in some places it is defined at 1280, but others list it as 1024. The TECHNICAL MANUAL (Ver. 2.0) says 1024. I've got a 433CMX PDF that lists the spec as 1024, but the 'computer input table' on the same sheet lists a 1280x768 commputer input mode as NON-compressed (i.e. pixel for pixel). The following stores seem to have a 433MXEV listed, and the 1st two quote it as 1280x768. http://www.audiotechcroydon.co.uk/retailsheet.htm http://www.plasmascreens.co.uk/pioneer_pdp-503mxevs_plasma_screen.htm http://www.sevenoakssoundandvision.co.uk/products/mainvisionrange.html http://www.technoworld.com/productdisplay.asp?ProductID=415-305-4334 http://www.av4it.com/plasma/results_vendor.asp?vendor=pioneer So - can anyone confirm the existance of a 1280x768 43" Pioneer display available in the UK, or are the above entries typos? Any ideas if the CMX is available in the uk, and if so - does it have the same performance as the MXE (other than the increased resolution)? The datasheet on the PDA-5002 says 1280 x 768*2, *2When exclusive video card is used. Any ideas what this exclusive video card is? Cheers, Andy.
