Hello all, my question probably indicates the depth of my knowledge on this subject. I have a Canon mv201 camcorder ( am I the only one in the UK ?) I want to record directly to the hdd in the 420H but the lack of dv in is a problem. Is there a straightforward solution?. The camera has : s-video out ,dv out and av out connections. Any suggestions welcome.
    :lease:

Under the flip down panel on the left is an s-video and a composite input.

    Any use?

Thanks for your suggestion. Yes I have tried the composites but actually getting a result proved impossible for a " thickie " like me. However a more knowledgable friend showed me the way through the manuals technospeak and got it working at last ! Why does anything to do with dv /video have to be so complicated?
