Hi, does anyone have any experience with these displays?
As far as I understand, these are mainly for public display systems in lobbies/airports and such, but how would these perform in a home environment, mainly playing dvds and as a gaming computer monitor.
The specs are 640x480, 262k colours (16bit) for both I think, model numbers are Pioneed PDP-V402EA and NEC Plasmasync 3300.
    Thanks,
    atai

PDP-V402E - maybe just for the games but a definite no no for movies and TV; get a cheap vision mixer and plug your DVD into it and then into your TV and turn on Solarisation for an idea of how it might look on these displays.

I would certainly not want to fire mine up for use as a TV and I've owned a few 401's and 402's since 1998 - we use them in our hire fleet for exhibitions and the like.

Never had a play with the NEC so cant help there I'm afraid.

    Best regards

    Joe

    Gah!
And I jus got my hopes up for a decent 4:3 (for computer games) display. Still, I got a Sharp 30" Aquos display, but no AV centre box!
Any ideas where to get one, Joe?
    thanks,
    atai
