I'm looking at getting a new Pioneer but before I do, I would appreciate some feedback on how well they cope with discs that they *claim* to be able to play, in the specs.
I have a Toshiba 210 that claimed to be able to play SVCD's but in reality, it had major problems, such as audio sync. It also claimed to be a competent CD player but there was a really annoying 'tick...tick...' noise coming from the drive on some CD's.

Any comments on the above drives?

    TIA
