I was given a pioneer 320-s dvd recorder. I recently bought a new panasonic tv and though I can copy when the tv is on it wont copy with the tv on standby. Can this be done?:lease:

Welcome.
Some TVs output the tuner (which you're recording from) in standby and some don't.
It would help us to help you if you gave us the TVs model no.
It's really far better and reasonably cheap to buy a separate Freeview box connect that to the DVDR and record from that instead.
This has the bonus of recording 1 channel from the Freeview box and watching a different one on the TVs tuner.
 
Hi Jaycee, thanks for the help. The TV is a panasonic TX-L47WT50B if that helps. Where does the freeview sit in relation to the DVDR. Cheers Pipesy

Hi.
Aerial into Freeview,
Rf out from Freeview to Tv aerial in
Scart from Freeview into DVDR AV2
DVDR AV1 to Tv scart.
