    Please help !

I have just bought the above receiver and have an audio set up problem.

DVD is fine but when I play a normal audio CD I can get all the music modes to work out of all speakers fine but there appears to be no bass, even though I have a sub connected.

The sub and speakers work fine as I said with DVD but CD is a mystery as to why I get little if any bass through speakers or amp.

Any suggestions, I am sure it is something simple.

    Matt

As I recall (I'll check tonight) you have to go into manual set-up and set the sub to 'plus'. This sends the base signal to the sub on all inputs, not just 5.1

Just thought.......You may also have inadvertently got the polarity wrong on one of your front speakers. This will cancel out the bass big time. In DVD mode you won't have noticed because the sub provides plenty of bass.

Cheers Jeffers, I had a play around since and it sounds better, I havent set to plus yet as the room has no carpet until next week anyway and realise this may have affected things.

Once room complete will try plus,

    Thanks for assisting,

    Matt
