Installation of Pio 504 expected this week, i have ordered this without the speaker option as i intend using my Av setup.

However i notice that a number of people are using the optional SS12 speakers for ocassional TV use bypassing the AV.

Is it possible to wire up a pair of very small conventional speakers direct to the plasmal speaker connections on the back of the plasma (if they exist), instead of the Pioneer speakers, so as my wife can use as a standalone TV ?

Or is there an alternative way of making this into a simple to switch on and use TV ?

Any ideas

I am in the same position, MAW knows about it, he is doing the setup:clap:

Hope MAW replies to that one.

Cheers

Emad

Or if you want, I have an unopened set of 504 speakers!

Mike I have the 504 without speakers. I have got an easy to use programable remote which allows the other half to press one button to power up the Screen, Sky+ and the AV amp. You need simple Macro capability but she is really happy with the screen and sound.

I had the same dilemna, but opted to set up without the speakers and haven't found any disadvantage. I would recommend a macro remote to turn everything on (or an Axim and appropriate software), but except that I think the looks are much better.
