    Hi John,

Be careful what kind of IEC connector you get if you intend replacing the lead. I got a Supra one with a Wattgate IEC connector, but it wouldn't fit my 433MXE due to the diameter of the Wattgate - d'oh! Hope this helps.

    Steve

Edit - not sure what's going on here, but this was posted at 5.44pm.

Can anyone tell me what type of power lead is on the Pio 503MXE. Is it a figure of 8, wattgate type IEC or something else.

    Regards
    John

Not sure of it's technical name but it's a standard PC 'kettle' lead.

    Cheers, Lee

Thanks guys for your input, but how did Dutch post before me

dutch thats the situation I want to avoid, getting a MXE soon and I'm going to be making up one of Chris V's power leads, but there seems to be different varieties, small figure of 8, large figure of 8, PC type and the hifi type. But as you said a Wattgate won't fit that has at least helped me. Any chance you could measure yours?

    Cheers
    John
