i ve got a pio 435hde plasma with scart,s-video,component,hdmi,vga inputs,
a dv575 which has scart and component out
and a dreambox sat receiver with scart out.

I ve got the dvd player connected component to component.
and the dreambox connected scart to scart.

is there a better way to connect my devices?
If i use the vga input of my plasma will i get better results?

With your equipment you have connected correctly, if you want to improve the connections then you would need to upgrade the DVD to an HDMI equipped player to make use of the HDMI input other than that stick with what you've got.
