Sorry for the numbnutz questions ... but I REALLY need some help. I have a Sony TRV110E (which has a DV output) and an IBM Thinkpad A31 which has a IEEE1394 port. It has a MAT****A UJDA720 DVD/CD RW ( ..... which I presume means I can burn DVD's ?????)

I've seen PINNACLE DV200 PCI F/W EDITING & CAPTURE CARD, which seems to have everything I need to capture, edit, author burn etc. ........ or am I missing something ... will it include the cable for connecting the camcorder to the Laptop ?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

It depends on what the connector is on the laptop. Usually the cable that comes with the Firewire cards are 4pin(camcorder)-6pin(PC). You may need a 4pin-4pin firewire cable.
