From a thread a while ago i was lead to believe that you can turn off the "pin number" required to watch certain movies i.e 15 ratings and above, the instructions were to go to settings and then look for " locked channels ", hmmm i did that and followed the instructions given which were, tick and then untick next to the channels you want to be freed of " pin numbers " ps dont waste your time, it only works for for the time you have your tv on, as soon as you switch off you are required to re-enter your pin number again, i phoned Virgin and they confirmed this, its regulations to protect kids, so its a no no folks.

    :(

I don't think it is possible.

It is a major PITA if you want to flick backwards and forwards to keep up to date on football scores...:(

I managed to do it on my Samsung box. Can't remember how though.... Somebody posted instructions on here a while ago. Do a search.

While i can understand the need to protect "the kids" surely this should be a user option that can be removed/disabled. I've only just had my V+ installed but does this stupid thing mean that if I try and V+ a movie which requires a PIN I'll end up getting 2 hrs of the PIN authorisation screen instead ???

Jeez..as i said, this does work, but only for the time that you have your tv switched on, as soon as you turn off for that day, and then switch back on again the next day you will find that you will need to re-enter your pin, this was confirmed by Virgin media..

I'm aware of that - I was merely pointing out the thread t11rmh was looking for.
