Ok, I am currently looking at going down the route of either completely changing my 360 case for a black one or just using the skins available at Decal Girl. I will need to mod both my 360 and HD-DVD drive. I am also interested in changing the contoller cases to complete black ones - not with skins.

I am starting this thread to see if we could get some people posting some close up shots of their "pimped" 360's and sharing with us all where they obtained the goods from and how easy it was to do. I have noticed plenty of black 360's in the "Get your 360's out for the lads" thread. But I'm hoping to see some nice/closer shots and finding out how you all went about doing it!

Really really simple to do. Paint was Halfords own brand 500ml can - £6.49

    Advice from jimihifi:
When you do it, make sure you spray both sides of all the parts - I only did the visible sides at first and I had the white showing through around the inner lips of the casing!

Only trouble i had was removing the side panel, which i kinda botched, so make sure you use the right tool for the job

    More advice from jimihifi:
You start by taking off the curved section.
Get a thin knife and gently pop off the lugs from either side.

These photos will help explain what I mean:

(Be aware, when you've pooped one side off and you go to do the other, hold out the completed side as it has a habit of popping back in when you're doing the opposite side!)

That look great, I am tempted to try that but am not sure I fancy the whole "taking apart thing". Especially as it would mean taking apart my 360 as well to ensure they are a 100% match. I will see though as that does look good :)

That HD DVD drive looks great, I did want to just buy a 360 and HD DVD replacement cases... it seems that you can only buy replacement cases for the 360 itself and not the HDVD... and that is £50 for the 360 case.

So perhaps spray painting is the best option as that means I can do the 360, HDDVD and controllers in black.

battle.chasers your 360 looks good, I'm not sure about the pads and remote but the 360 is impressive.
