Watched this earlier this evening, very interesting look around at the place and people, plus the billions invested into the place and asking if the credit crunch will bite in Dubai. Amazing looking place that 20yrs ago was just sand. Not sure if i like the interiors off some off the expensive hotels though, a bit tacky If you had brought properties from 4yrs ago worth $400,000 are now worth or sold for $4m. Piers was saying just how big the place is when your there, also they plan to make the largest theme park in the world, with life size replicas of The Effiel Tower, Houses of Parliment, Taj Mahal, etc, etc - why not just visit the real things? Also so many foreigners are over there now, almost as much as the natives. A lot off british people live and work over there and have made loadsa money. They even party and drink all night, where the authorities dont mind too much as long as its on private hotel beaches.
