i currently have a denon 1920 (hdmi connection) for playback, which gives outstanding picture quality on my hitachi 42" plasma
i'm going to get a dvd/hdd/freeview recorder
my question is would something like the Panasonic DMR-EX75-EBS DVD (via hdmi upscaling) replace the denon to give comparable picture quality with playback of my films
or if the pany isnt going to compete with the denon would i be better getting a similar recorder with component connection and keep the denon
the total price would be similar
my main concern is the quality of the picture when playing my dvd collection
but i want to add the recording and freeview option
