picture problems

i have a pioneer 436 xde plasma and last week i changed from a hdmi to
a component connection on my sky hd box so i could use hdmi for my xbox 360 elite ,
iwas watching the cricket on sky sports hd 1 last night and i noticed
that picture would appear to pause for a mili-second causing
a jumping effect this happened quite a few times through out the evening
ive had this box for nearly a year started with a component connection
then hdmi and now back to component again

You shouldn't be experiencing any problems with component on Sky HD, in fact there are some that say the quality is better.
I can't comment on that as i haven't tried it myself though but i guess it must differ from set to set with the results you get from them both.

There is always the option of a HDMi switcher if you are still having problems so you can run both the xbox360 & Sky HD on HDMi at the same time.

i tend to agree that component is better after trying both but it is only now
that i am experiencing the pausing problem after a year of use ive now
switched from 1080i to automatic on the picture settings which seems to have solved it but on sd channels the picture seems to be stretched
