 I have been having a lot of
trouble with losing the picture or a big black line through one third of
the on screen picture on a DVI feed to a Screenplay 8405 from a Tag Mclaren DVD. After testing of the projector and the
DVD into other display devices and using different connections i.e.
s-video and component they all work fine. I have discovered that if I
disconnect the DVI cable then reconnect it the picture comes through
fine. However the problem now is that to get a pure digital DVI feed I
need to connect and reconnect the DVI lead at the DVD player every time
I want to watch a movie. This leads me to think that either the PSM DVI
out is faulty or the lead is faulty. Due to the fact that the DVD is
perfect on all other connections I am almost sure that the problem lies
with a faulty DVI lead at the termination point (if I wiggle carefully
the picture comes back). Has anyone got any ideas or thoughts before I rerun a new cable The dvi cable is 8 metres
