Picture Problem ?.

Every now and again while watching a film or playing a game the picture goes, or freezes, for a few seconds. (screen goes black) I also notice the orange light flickering. The ps3 is connected to my amp via HDMI. When the HDMI lead is disconnected then reconnected again it seems to stop the problem, until that is a few days later when another film or game is loaded.
Has anybody had a similar problem.

I've never heard of that before. I suspect as you haven't had any response no one else has either. A few things to try to determine the problem would be to use a different HDMI cable or try the PS3 on a different HDTV. This way you can rule out the cable and the TV. It could be a problem with the PS3 specifically in which case you need to get it replaced. It's hard to say really where the problem lies though.

Think I'll try a different hdmi lead first, disconect it from the amp at the same time.

Thanks,

Mike.
