    Hi,

    I have a modified pioneer 535.
This machine seems to have a problem playing DVDs.
Sometimes the picture freezes and the player gets stuck. The only option is to eject the DVD.
After some carefull wiping the DVD seems to work again.

At first it was because i use DVD rentals. But last time my own Matrix DVD got the same problem.

Can someone help me out with this problem.
Is this a problem with the player OR the DVDs?

Thanks alot for reading and i look forward to your response

I've owned this play for about 2 months now and never come across this problem.
There is a slight pause though on dual layer DVDs when the lazer picks up the second layer but this only pauses the film for 1/2 a second. Maybe your player is having difficulty detecting that second layer. It doesn't sound right to me though. I'd replace it if it's still under warranty.
