I have just replaced a LG 20" flat screen LCD with a Panasonic TH37PX80.

One of my main gripes about the LG was that when you watched a movie via the SKY+ box about 10% of the horizontal picture was lost.

But tonight when the beginning titles from Red Dragon " tonight ITV2" the first and last letters of the titles were missing on the Panasonic as well. I swapped between auto and 16:9 and there was no real difference.

The question is am I missing something or is this just another crap thing with SKY??

    Thanks in advance

    Dave

Is the Sky box set to output 16:9?
This can be found in the menu under Picture Settings.

Also sometimes movies made in an aspect ratio other than 16:9 (e.g 2.35:1) are 'formatted' for TV (or even occasionally DVD) and the extreme sides of the picture are missing
