I have a Toshiba 32ZP48 TV and a Toshiba SD530E DVD player. Both units are under 12 months old. The audio is connected direct to the TV via digital coax and the video via component. They are both set to prog scan. Picture and sound quality are both outstanding - as you would hope, it cost me an arm and a leg...

Sometimes, and usually part way through a film, the sound and picture drift out of sync which is really annoying. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know of a way to solve it? Is there a problem with my setup?

    Thanks for your help.

My Bro had the same problem with his Panasonic plasma, his only solution was to buy a Yamaha amp which allows you to adjust lip sync issues.

Seems that the "industry" knows about this problem.

On most quality dvd players you can adjust the audio-video sync in ms (i.e.20 ms).
