I've had this CD transport for a couple of months or so, so I haven't yet played anything like all my CDs through it. It seems to be very fussy about playing some discs, though, and mybe getting pickier, it's hard to tell. It's refusing some discs my Audiolab 8000CD played quite happily, despite the transport being basically the same. Is there a problem, do you think, or is it just something I'll have to put up with? The Audiolab was not the best disc-reader, but the CDT20's definitely worse! That said, most discs play fine - so far.

eisenach, I was using a CDT20R-T2L for a couple of years and found it would play CDs that other machines would refuse to recognise, I would suspect that you're unit is need of a replacement laser pickup.

PS I mean factory pressed CDs not CDRs or CDRWs.

I never had any trouble either.

Must be something wrong with your unit

eisenach, Have you tried to use a CD Lens cleaner in the transport, I had a similar problem years ago with an Arcam transport where discs were not reading/jumping and I used a cd cleaner but not one with the fluid on the brushes (didn't like the idea of putting any sort of liquid near electronics) and the problem was sorted.

My CDT20R t2l Ive had for a few years now and I've no problems with comercial CD's or compilations burned to CDR.
